Jasper Knight
This work relates to a Sherman Artbox show in 2005, entitled Three in the Bed and the Little One Said... The work consisted of a tumble dryer that has in it the flags of Britain, Australia and the United States; this work is a photographic summation of this work. It was a comment on the Iraq war which is even more pertinent today. More broadly it looks at the way Australia has been colonised by the Britain, and culturally by the United States and questions whether we should look elsewhere, or within, to understand more about the Australian identity.
