We are visual artist duo Leanne Shedlezki and Naomi Shedlezki, twin sisters from Sydney, Australia.
Passionate about bringing people together to connect, collaborate and initiate dialogue and mutual understanding and awareness through verbal and visual expression, we create inclusive social engagement projects addressing themes of identity, perception and sense of place.
Using alternate modes of exhibition, mobile sculptures, installation and durational performance, we create and present our work across diverse platforms, which to date has included public spaces, festivals and events, pop up shops, artist run spaces, galleries and museums across Australia, Asia, Europe, UAE and USA.
Our practice has been supported by various awards, grants and organisations, including from Arts NSW, City of Sydney, Federation of Australia Japan Societies, The Japan Foundation, The National Association of Visual Artists, The Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority, Adobe and Canon.
Both graduates of the College of Fine Arts, University of New South Wale, (now Art and Design UNSW), Leanne graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Hons) and Naomi a Masters specialising in Sculpture, Performance and Installation.
