In 2008, the Japan Foundation invited us to Open the launch of Facetnate!, a new grant program for Australian Emerging Artists Influenced by Japan in their art practice. As invited guests, we were awarded a grant to create an exhibition celebrating the Australia Japan Match Box Project, which also involved inviting the 5 facetnate Finalists of an Inaugural Japan Foundation Award to join us in our journey. We presented a series of Match Box Galleries featuring the works of 70 diverse Australian and Japanese artists and curators collaborating with us on our Australia-Japan exchanges and portable art projects.

For details about each artist/curatorial team and their work go to our artists/curators page here
