A selection of our Encounter.....Sydney Portraits. Each features our Time Capsule.
This work entails capturing a region via the eyes of residents we encounter as they go along their daily lives in diverse public spaces. They are photographed after they have randomly commented on our Time Capsule which is featured in each photo. Each person is asked a series of questions about the city and are invited to become collaborators on additional projects about their region. To date we have been developing this body of work in Australia, China, Europe and the USA.
Encounter is being created as part of our long-term public participatory international series which explores the identity of diverse cities, their people, places and cultures. This series celebrates diversity and aims to encourage creativity and inclusion, and break down perceptions/stereotypes of regions and cultures.
