In 2009 we launched the Sydney ARI Guide - a printed map, web guide and archive project of Sydney's Artist Run Initiatives (ARIs). - These Initiatives include artist run galleries, spaces, projects, publications and events where one can discover upcoming and emerging artists and view cutting edge art works often not seen in commercial galleries and public museums.
We update this guide regularly adding new ARIs and archiving those that move on, hibernate or fold.
Ever since, we have also been host public Walking Tours through Sydney's major ARI hubsindependantly as well as for events such as Art Month, MOST and private tours for educational groups and the general public.
