Serial Spacez
RAN FROM 2007-2012
Running from 2007 – 2012, Serial Space was an artist run space dedicated to providing a platform for artists undertaking ambitious and experimental projects. Serial Space supported sound art, experimental music, electronic art, performance art and many other non traditional practices and mediums. The Serial Space directors curated, organised and hosted countless events, performances, artist talks, debates, screenings, workshops, show & tells, exhibitions and residencies.
Invaluable contributions were made to the running of Serial Space by Tameka Carter, Louise Dibben, Alex White, Tom Smith, Pia van Gelder, Kate Blackmore, Frances Barrett, Frederick Rodrigues, Marian Tubbs and Jennifer Hamilton.
‘As much structurally as it is in nature, Serial Space is profoundly unprepossessing. It is a receptive and open platform for the values – experimentation, fluidity – of those who choose to invest, and so has the potential to fill and transform with whatever energy and initiative people throw at it.‘ – Millie Stein
