We are artist duo Leanne and Naomi Shedlezki (aka Match Box Projects). Since 2009 we have been bringing focus to ARIs in our hometown; Sydney, through a series of projects, including this evolving ARI Guide.
How this guide came about
Over 2007-8 we visited/discovered more than 20 Sydney ARIs whilst following the art practices of 20+ Sydney emerging artists and curators taking part in our People to People, Place to Place Match Box Gallery Project. We discovered there was nothing linking these diverse independent artistic hubs and decided to create the ARI Guide to connect them and bring focus to same.
